SoundBloc Board is a type of Gypsum board or Plaster board which is specially used for the purpose of blocking or stopping the sound from travelling between the Walls and Ceiling. It helps in retaining the internal sound within the room and prevents any kind of external sound from entering the room. The core of SoundBloc Board consists of aerated Gypsum which is very high in density; enabling it to be used as a sound reflective material. They are extensively used in the construction of Soundproof Partitions and False ceiling systems. Individually, SoundBloc Boards are ideal upto 70 dB Level; However, a higher Soundproofing solution can be acheived when SoundBloc Board is clubbed with an infill insulation material such as Fiber Glass wool Insulation, Mineral Rock wool Insulation, Polyester Wadding or Polywool Insulation.

APPLICATIONS OF SOUNDBLOC BOARD
False Ceiling and Partitions
With Soundproofing being the Primary objective of Gyproc SoundBloc Board, these boards are an ideal material in the construction of a Soundproof room. A RCC structure is not required in order to create an internal enclosure. With the help of a G.I or Aluminium structure, the boards are directly fixed on to the framework with an infill inuslation of Mineral Rockwool in order to create an ideal Soundproof Partition.
Whereas, in the case of False Ceiling, a similar approach i.e. Gypsum Board False Ceiling is carried out; and instead of fixing gypsum board, it is replaced by Soundbloc Board.
