About Gyproc Bond It
Gyproc Bond It serves as a bonding agent between RCC surface and Plaster (Cement or Gypsum). Due to its low suction and under pressure of gravity, it removes the chance of debonding plaster (Gypsum or cement) from RCC surface. Gyproc Bond It has better bonding characteristics due to lime / sand powder. Gyproc bond it comes with both mechanical and chemical adhesion benefits; and completely eliminates the hacking process.

Application of Saint Gobain Gyproc Bond it
Bonding Agent
Gyproc Bond It is a bonding agent which provide 2x strength between Plaster and RCC surface. It is specially made to be used as a bonding agent for pre-treatment of smooth surfaces. After applying one coat of Gyproc Bond it on any RCC surface, the surface will be ready for plastering after 24 hours. Its combination of Polymers, Sand fillers and Additives makes it coarse and improves its Bonding properties. Thus, elimiating the intensive process of Hacking.
Process of Application
Step 1
Clean RCC surface with a dry brush.
Step 2
Spray water on the RCC Surface.
Step 3
Open Gyproc Bond It Bucket and stir the contents thoroughly.
Step 4
Dip a paint brush in Gyproc Bond It and apply a single coat on the RCC Surface.
Step 5
Leave the surface for 24 hrs to dry; after which the surface will be ready for plastering.

Gyproc Bond It should not be mixed with water. Mixing Bond it with water will decrease the strength between plaster and the substrate. However, some water can be sprayed on the surface before application in order to remove dust particles. Spraying some water also increases the workability of Gyproc Bond It on RCC surface.
What is difference between hacking and Gyproc BOND-it ?
Hacking is the process of roughening the RCC surface. As hacking is done manually, it is not consistent, increasing the risk of plaster debonding. Where as, Gyproc Bond It is a ready to apply chemical, that gives the mechanical key and chemical bonding to plaster, thereby eliminating the risk of debonding.
What should I do if I am not able to cover an area of 5 sq-m/kg with Gyproc Bond It?
Over application of Gyproc Bond It may be one of the reasons of not getting the desired coverage.Only a single coat has to be applied on the surface after properly stirring the contents of the bucket. Wetting the the surface with some water helps in increased coverage.
